Resolving social issues with water meters at the core
We at Kashikei aim to "solve society's problems with water meters at the core". For more than 70 years since our establishment in 1947, we have been engaged in the business of "water", which is indispensable for human life, and we have continued to focus on our own integrated production and "made in Japan" quality. Not resting on our laurels, we are now embarking on a variety of initiatives that make the most of our own technologies in Japan, where the birthrate is declining and the population is aging.
More than 30 years ago, Kashikei was the first company in Japan to develop and successfully commercialize an automatic meter reading device with a built-in microcomputer. Currently, we are further advancing our research, aiming to popularize Smart Meter equipped with a wireless remote meter reading function and automatic detection of water leakage and aging, and envisioning new businesses such as the application of Smart Meter to watch over elderly people living alone.
In this "100-year life era," the amount of time that work takes up in a person's lifetime continues to increase. At Kashikei, we have an environment in which people can enrich their lives by creating products that are useful to society. In a society that is rapidly becoming digitalized and globalized, we aim to be a company where each employee can maximize his or her abilities and contribute to many people while adhering to the spirit of harmony.
